Valour, a subsidiary of DeFi Technologies, is now offering cryptocurrency exchange-traded products to retail investors in the UK via the London Stock Exchange. This move follows recent regulatory updates from the Financial Conduct Authority.

The firm announced that its new products, the 1Valour Bitcoin Physical Staking and 1Valour Ethereum Physical Staking ETPs, commenced trading on Monday. Their launch aligns with new FCA guidance permitting retail access to such products tied to Bitcoin and Ether.

Johan Wattenström, Chairman and CEO of DeFi Technologies, highlighted the significance of the UK market. He stated these products provide UK retail investors with transparent, listed access to the digital asset economy.

Previously in September, Valour listed a similar Bitcoin ETP on the same exchange, but it was restricted solely to professional investors. The recent FCA decision in October to lift the retail ban has opened the door for this broader access, with other asset managers like Bitwise also launching offerings.
