Square, the payments company owned by Jack Dorsey, has just reported it plans to build a cryptocurrency wallet.
The Twitter CEO tweeted:
“We have decided to build a hardware wallet and service to make bitcoin custody more mainstream.”
According to Dorsey, the wallet will offer multi-sig transactions.
In addition, the wallet will be designed to be used on mobile devices, that is to say, smartphones.
Square is building a team to work on the development of the wallet.
We should remember it has recently been reported that Dorsey does not plan to buy Ether, as he has said on Twitter he is just interested in BTC. As a result, it is not surprising that his company is now building a Bitcoin wallet.
