Twitter Marketing Head Justin Taylor posted a video demonstrating an interface for working with non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which the members of the social platform will be able to use as avatars.

The video was recorded by senior Twitter developer Mada Aflak. To install NFT instead of a profile photo, the user needs to connect a digital wallet and select a token. The blockchain in which the asset is issued will be displayed next to the avatar.

Users will also be able to show other people their NFT collections – the social network will add the corresponding Collectible tab to the activity menu.

The demonstrated features are under development, which means that the appearance of the final menu and the functions themselves may change. It is unknown when this new feature will be launched.

On September 23, the users of the Twitter app for iOS devices started to be able to accept donations through the Lightning Network. To do this, they need to connect a third-party service like CashApp to their profile.
