Head of Investment Company with $83B of AUM Invests in BTC

Thoma Bravo co-founder and managing partner Orlando Bravo has invested in Bitcoin and expects the price of the asset to rise along with widespread adoption of the crypto, he has told the CNBC:

“How can you not love cryptocurrency? It’s just a great system – it’s decentralized and free of contention. And young people want their own financial system. So, it’s here forever.”

He believes the blockchain technology underlying cryptocurrencies provides better use cases than software based on traditional databases.

Bravo thinks institutions are just starting to come to the crypto market:

“Over the years, their number will increase significantly. I am optimistic.”

According to Forbes, Bravo’s net worth amounts to $6.3 billion, while the assets managed by Thoma Bravo amount to $83 billion.
