Crypto Exchange BitMEX to Receive a License in Hong Kong

BitMEX is launching a dedicated service through a mobile app for Hong Kong residents to adhere to the new regulations proposed by the SFC.

From May 29, current Hong Kong-based BitMEX users’ assets are to be transferred over, and the company will also be saving transaction histories as well.

They will only have access to spot trading and crypto conversion. New customers from the jurisdiction will only be able to register through the app.

The company has expressed its eagerness to work with the SFC to reach its goals in the market and will keep its clients informed.

The service will be available while the transition period established with the regulator is being followed.
