Genesis Digital Assets Launches Three Data Centers
Genesis Digital Assets (GDA) has recently opened three new data centers in southeast South Carolina to mine the leading cryptocurrency.
The intention of the company is to take advantage of renewable energy sources for running the centers. One of these sites will be fitted with 18 MW dry-type distribution transformers, and the other will be connected to the hydroelectric power plant.
All this is part of GDA’s plan to increase its presence in the United States.
As stated in its press release, GDA has a combined capacity of more than 400 MW, with an operation of 20 mining farms higher located in North America, Europe and Central Asia. In an agreement to extend the US national debt, the thirty percent tax on mining was eliminated in March.
Meanwhile, the CEA submitted a report saying that digital assets do not meet their goals and highlight the dangers of investments with cryptocurrencies, as well as a threat to financial stability.
