The team behind the decentralized exchange KyberSwap has warned users to be cautious of messages claiming to offer compensation after a recent hack.

According to the team, scammers may be using fake KyberSwap profiles to distribute malicious links. The team emphasized that all updates and announcements related to the hack will only be published through the official KyberSwap account.

They also shared that they have been in contact with the owners of the frontrun bots responsible for withdrawing $5.7 million during the exploit.

The two parties have agreed for the bots to return 90% of the funds and receive a 10% reward.

KyberSwap clarified that they will continue to work with law enforcement and cybersecurity agencies to retrieve and return user funds.
