Tether Issues 1 Billion USDT

On December 24, Tether generated an additional 1 billion USDT stablecoins on the Ethereum network.

Paolo Ardoino, the CEO, clarified in a WhaleAlerts post on X that these coins were part of an authorized but unreleased transaction, serving as reserves for future issuance requests and network swaps, in line with traditional financial replenishment practices.

Tether emphasizes that these tokens are not included in the total market capitalization of USDT until they are circulated.
