Custodians of Mt. Gox’s Bitcoin holdings have recently transferred 11,833.64 BTC, valued at over $1 billion according to current prices, as reported by Arkham Intelligence and on-chain analytics.

This significant transaction took place on Wednesday at block height 886,484, involving precisely 11,833.64 BTC, worth approximately $1.066 billion.

Arkham promptly notified the crypto community via X at 7:12 p.m. ET on March 5. Remarkably, the custodian paid only 1,808 satoshis, or about $1.64, in on-chain transaction fees for this substantial transfer.

The Bitcoins were moved from a Pay-to-PubKey-Hash (P2PKH) address labeled “1PuQB” to another P2PKH wallet identified as “1Mo1n.” Despite this transfer, Mt. Gox still holds 36,080 BTC, currently valued at approximately $3.25 billion according to today’s market rates.
