The operator of Hong Kong’s largest licensed cryptocurrency exchange, HashKey Holdings Limited, has passed its listing committee hearing at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX). This critical step moves the company closer to its initial public offering.
The announcement came in a Post Hearing Information Pack released Monday. Following this milestone, the company typically proceeds to prospectus registration and investor marketing.
HashKey stated IPO proceeds will fund technology upgrades, security, market expansion, and corporate purposes.
While the specific timeline and size remain undisclosed, Bloomberg reported last October that the firm aims to raise up to $500 million this year.
