Bitcoin accounts for most of $16.6 billion crypto options expiry

Around $16.6 billion worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum options are scheduled to expire on 25 September, with bullish call positions outnumbering puts for both assets.

Bitcoin makes up about $14.73 billion of the total, or nearly 89%. Its options have a put-to-call ratio of 0.52, with the largest call position concentrated around the $70,000 strike. Open interest is also significant at $85,000, $90,000 and higher levels.

Ethereum accounts for the remaining $1.92 billion, with a put-to-call ratio of 0.57. The largest call concentration is around $3,000, according to Coinbase Markets.
