Revolut’s Valuation Hits $33B After Attracting $800M

The valuation of British fintech company Revolut has just hit $33 billion after its latest funding round.

Local publication Sky News has reported that the firm has raised $800 million in a fundraising led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Tiger Global Management.

As a result, the valuation of the company has jumped to $33 billion, making it the most valuable British fintech company ever.

The startup was launched in 2015 and at the time was an app addressed to travelers seeking cheap exchange rates. However, the company has evolved significantly since then and now offers a wide range of products, including insurance products, stock investments and trading tools.
