Twitter CEO Says Social Network Might Add Lightning Network Support

Jack Dorsey, CEO of social media platform Twitter, has just said the company might be adding support for the Lightning Network in the future.

According to a tweet recently shared by Dorsey:

Every account on Twitter being able to link to a Lightning wallet however…

This means that the platform could allow its users to connect Lightning wallets. The tweet was shared by the Twitter CEO in response to a tweet discussing about Twitter accounts possibly having a wallet address for storing non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which are gaining so much popularity recently.

We should remember that this is not the first time that Dorsey has spoken about Lightning wallets. In June 2021, Dorsey said it was “only a matter of time.”
