CboeBZX has updated its 19b-4 forms for five proposed Ethereum exchange-traded funds in a potential sign that they may soon be approved.

The amended forms were filed with the SEC late on Tuesday for the Franklin Ethereum Trust, Fidelity Ethereum Fund, VanEck Ethereum Trust, Invesco Galaxy Ethereum ETF, and ARK 21Shares Ethereum ETF.

According to reports, the SEC requested the exchanges to amend their 19b-4 forms earlier this week. These forms are important in notifying the SEC of a proposed rule change and must be approved before spot Ether ETFs can become operational.

Even if the 19b-4 forms are approved, S-1 registration statements would still need to be approved before the funds can begin trading. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart believes that these filings prove the rumors to be true.

However, he also cautions that there is still a long way to go before these ETFs could potentially be launched, as the SEC still needs to approve the 19b-4 forms and S-1 registration statements. This process could take weeks or longer.
