UK Trading Giant IG Group Enters Spot Crypto Market

Financial services heavyweight IG Group has made its move into direct cryptocurrency trading, providing retail investors access to 31 digital assets.

The London-listed company, which previously offered crypto exposure through CFDs, now enables spot trading of major coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum alongside popular altcoins.

The launch comes amid growing UK crypto adoption and regulatory developments.

IG has partnered with US-regulated crypto firm Uphold, which will handle backend operations while maintaining full integration with IG’s trading ecosystem.
