Bitwise will liquidate its spot Dogecoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), ending the product less than a year after its launch.

Trading of the Bitwise Dogecoin ETF on the NYSE is expected to end on 14 October. Shareholders who continue to hold the fund will receive its net asset value in cash on 22 October, based on the value recorded on 21 October.

Bitwise said the decision forms part of an effort to adjust its product range to investor demand.

Dogecoin ETFs have struggled to attract significant inflows despite strong interest before their launch, with the funds recording about $318,000 in combined net inflows in August, according to SoSoValue.
