Standard Chartered plans to offer crypto custody services to institutional clients in Singapore by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory requirements.
The bank said the service will cover selected cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and tokenised real-world assets. It will build on Standard Chartered’s existing digital asset custody operations in the UAE, Luxembourg and Hong Kong.
The Singapore service will complement the bank’s financing and securities services, allowing it to support institutional clients across a wider range of digital asset activities.
Standard Chartered said demand for institutional digital asset infrastructure is growing in Singapore, which it described as an important centre for financial innovation.
