Verifone Terminals to Accept Cryptos in the US

Verifone has partnered with crypto payment system BitPay to allow retailers to accept digital assets as payment. As a result, buyers will be able to pay at points of sale throughout the United States using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Wrapped Bitcoin and five stablecoins. The feature will become available in 2022.

Sellers and buyers using cryptos will be protected from their volatility as BitPay uses technology to protect against price spikes, according to the announcement.

In September, Twitter added a feature that allows users to tip content creators with Bitcoin. At the moment, it is available only on iOS devices, while it is expected to be added to Android devices in the coming weeks.
