Justice Minister Marko Kovač announced on March 29 at a press conference that both the United States and South Korea have requested the extradition of Terra co-founder Do Kwon, who was arrested at Montenegro’s Podgorica airport on March 23 and had his detainment extended to 30 days.

Kovač said the decision on Kwon’s custody would go to Montenegro’s high court, and that his extradition may be delayed if Kwon is convicted of using allegedly forged passports in Montenegro.

He added that the factors determining extradition include the severity of the criminal offense, the location and time of its commission, and the order in which the requests were received.
